Host Hudson County Homeless Memorial

This Tuesday, December 21, is both the first day of winter and the longest night of the year. And once again, a coalition including the Garden State Episcopal Community Development Corporation (GSECDC) and the Church of the Incarnation are holding an interfaith Homeless Memorial Service to remember those who have died from causes related to homelessness, and to raise awareness of the people who continue to live and die on Hudson County’s streets this winter.

After Tuesday’s ceremony, the coalition will serve coffee and cookies, and distribute clothes and a bagged meal, to those in need.

Volunteers are needed for a number of different tasks related to the memorial, from donating socks, hats, gloves and scarves to helping put together the bagged meals for distribution Tuesday morning.
